The Opportunity
As the Global Growth and Innovation Leader within the Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC) function, you will play a critical role in driving the growth agenda for EY, focused on programs that will contribute to achieving the next $50B in revenue. You will work closely with EY leadership to develop and implement strategies that support the firm's objectives, leveraging your expertise in brand, marketing and communications. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for innovation, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record driving growth.
This role requires a senior leader to work with EY’s Global Vice Chair Growth and Innovation and their leadership team to drive a cohesive focus on the future, pulling across the firm to define a BMC strategy that will enable EY to be positioned successfully with both current and future buyers. You will be required to accelerate growth across the Big Bets: Sustainability, Technology (including AI, Data, Innovation and Advanced Technology), Managed Services and the Alliance Ecosystem.
You will be a seasoned BMC professional who can work across all elements of brand, marketing and communications. You will be required to craft a brand narrative that weaves a firmwide positioning together across the Big Bets, enabling both external and internal audiences to understand how EY can help clients Shape Their Future With Confidence and unlock value that drives purposeful growth for all stakeholders. You will be responsible for defining the strategy for the internal communication program that will help accelerate understanding and increase adoption of EY’s client zero approach across the Growth & Innovation portfolio, including technology, AI and Sustainability. You will work closely with the aligned experts across the wider BMC team, to drive a consistent approach across the portfolio, built on data driven decision-making principles, to ensure you continually drive improvement across all programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy Development: Collaborate with EY leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy that aligns with the firm's objectives and leverages the latest marketing and communications trends.
- Brand Marketing: Lead on the brand marketing for the Big Bets (Sustainability, Technology (including AI, Data, Innovation and Advanced Technology), Managed Services and the Alliance Ecosystem), ensuring that EY is well positioned to break new ground in new markets with new buyers.
- Revenue Marketing: Team collaboratively with the Client Service BMC team, integrating with SL and Markets teams to drive a focus on both short-term revenue and long-term brand build underpinned by issue based thinking that aligns with client needs.
- Internal Communications: Lead and drive appropriate communication strategies internally that enable the whole of firm to understand the broad Growth & Innovation strategy, the adoption of tools and technology, and how individual employees play their part in driving growth from the Big Bets.
- External Communications: Build strong relationships across the external landscape, including alliance and ecosystem players, analysts and working through the PR team, with key media and external stakeholders.
- Campaign Development: Lead the development and execution of high-impact BMC campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth.
- Team Leadership: Leading a diverse team of BMC professionals aligned to Growth & Innovation, including a focus on the Big Bets:
- Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation within the BMC function, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and creative approaches.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, and competitive landscape insights, informing strategic decision-making to underpin global BMC programs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Sales, and Product Development, to ensure alignment.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and external partners.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of growth and innovation initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including budget and talent, to ensure the successful execution of growth and innovation initiatives.
- Training and Development: Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Culture, people and teaming
- Build and lead a high-performing team and acts as counselor, mentor, and coach.
- Define and deliver an operating model that uses a mix of onshore, offshore and nearshore centers to drive creativity and market impact cost-effectively.
- Share expert knowledge in brand, marketing, and communications issues, trends and long-term implications for EY.
- Foster a culture that respects diversity and inclusiveness and rewards and supports creativity and innovation within the BMC team.
- Be a change agent, ensuring that the BMC function is responding to market opportunities and business priorities.
- Work closely with the other BMC senior leaders to drive performance goals of improving service delivery, quality and cost efficiency of the function. Managing Agency relationships and budget responsibility.
- Drive collaboration and coordination between the BMC people supporting technology across industries and geographies.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in brand, communications and B2B marketing roles in a world-class global organization, with at least five years at a senior management level within a multinational technology organization with experience of delivering to an innovation agenda.
- Significant experience in a senior marketing leadership role, with a focus on growth and innovation.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies and innovative marketing campaigns.
- Understanding and experience in product marketing delivering client solutions throughout the product lifecycle from incubation to BAU deployment.
- Deep and current expertise in brand, communications, and digital marketing, and ability to convey this expertise to support others to progress.
- Operational and business knowledge sufficient to contribute at a senior board level – including understanding of P&L, balance sheet, etc.
- Global travel and flexible working, including out of hours when a major crisis or issue emerges.
- Experience in professional services or a B2B marketing environment is essential; experience working in an agency is beneficial.
- Superior brand, marketing, and strategic communications skills.
- An agile mindset with the ability to navigate and lead change.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships with multiple stakeholders.

What We Offer
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $171,400 to $339,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $205,700 to $385,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
