Your Future Team
The Business and Data Operations Associate will support the day-to-day activities of the Business and Data Ops team under the newly created Central Office organization at Hightower. Reporting to the Manager, Business and Data Operations, you will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of client, account, and transaction data across Hightower’s technology systems. You will investigate and resolve data discrepancies, work collaboratively with corporate teams, and ensure the successful servicing of our advisor teams through ongoing outreach. You will have experience working in a task-based and service-oriented environment, a proactive and curious mindset, and the ability to be a collaborative team player who contributes ideas and feedback.
What You’ll Do
- Support Data Remediation: Maintain a thorough understanding of Hightower’s processes and technology systems. Efficiently process and track all data remediation needs, including data analysis, triage to other internal departments, and corresponding field outreach required for remediation.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Manager to identify trends and business processes that present opportunities to establish standardized business rules within the data governance process. Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual review/action. Offer feedback and suggestions to the Manager regarding pain points, areas for improvement, and other recommendations to streamline and automate data remediation processes.
- Data Discrepancy Investigation: Help identifying and investigating data inconsistencies across different systems. Collaborate with field teams and corporate teams to gather information and clarify discrepancies.
- Field Outreach: Coordinate with our advisor teams to address data issues, gather missing information, and ensure that data entry processes are followed accurately at the source.
- Stakeholder Inquiries: Manage inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders to ensure superior client experience and accurate data remediation.
- Data Updates and Correction: As needed, perform data entry, updates, and corrections across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of data discrepancies, remediation actions, and updates made in systems. Help generate reports to monitor improvements in data quality. Monitor and report ongoing activities to the Manager to ensure all recurring processes are addressed and within predefined SLAs.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist with ad hoc business remediation and field outreach.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 + years’ experience in Operations or similar role in the Financial Services field.
- Experience working with multiple technology platforms and systems, preferably Custodians and/or Financial Performance Reporting systems.
- Experience with the operational details of the advisory business (e.g., RIA) functions (IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance) preferred.
- Good communication skills and a service mindset, with the ability to work effectively with both field teams and corporate departments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

- Base salary of $65,000-$80,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
