Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, as well as 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Your Future Team
The Associate, Private Investment Operations will play a hands-on role in managing activities related to Hightower’s centralized private investment data processing. Reporting to the Manager, Private Investments Operations, you will oversee and execute the daily private investment valuation and transaction processing, focusing on accurate data and completion. You will partner with vendor resources and our internal team to ensure seamless operations, and an excellent advisor experience. You will contribute to process improvements and standardization.
What You’ll Do
- Private Investments Data Processing: Complete daily tasks and manage processes around valuation and transaction data input.
- Advisor Support: Support advisor teams in daily processes related to private investments, serving as a key point of contact to help resolve issues and answer questions.
- Problem solving: Address complex inquiries and escalations from internal and external stakeholders. Serve as the point of contact for advisor teams.
- Process improvement: Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement improvements and automation opportunities. Track and enhance data quality.
- Project and Cross Functional Collaboration: Take part in projects in all sizes related to private markets and related initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in an investment related field, private investment experience a plus.
- Familiarity with performance reporting tools and basic investment performance methodology a plus.
- Developed understanding of the operational details of the advisory business (e.g., RIA) functions (IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance) preferred. Ability to understand the client-facing perspective of a private wealth management advisory business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with desire to learn.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to own and continually improve standard processes.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly. Ability to work independently.
- A growth mindset, propensity to take initiative to constantly improve processes, workflows, and results.
- Interest in pursuing CFA, CFP, and/or MBA a plus.
