We are looking for a Global Real Estate and Corporate Services (GRECS) Finance Manager to report to the Head of Global Real Estate. You will be responsible for global financial analysis created by GRECS team members working in the Real Estate Leases, Construction & Design, Building Services, or Corporate Services functions. You will interface with external vendors and internal customers, client-facing and intra-departmental operational teams, while supporting the department’s and the firm’s strategy, goals, and objectives.
We’ll trust you to:
- Direct the global budget / forecast preliminary submission process, working with global controllers, direct reports and global FP&A in North America
- Preparing and presenting global budget / forecast and analysis results, executive memos, and financial spreadsheets for recurring and ad hoc requests to senior management
- Regularly tracking and assessing actual spend against the latest budget / forecast for functions under GRECS
- Creating comprehensive lease expense models to assist decision-making across a variety of scenarios (stay vs. go, renewal, termination, partial give-back, sublease recovery, renovation, etc.)
- Working with external real estate brokers and internal project managers on financial projections, ongoing capital projects, expenditures, and invoices
- Analyzing and reporting on global vendor spending by region by collaborating with global FP&A on quarterly decks for senior management
- Regularly review North America CIP balances with local controllers to ensure assets are placed in-service timely and depreciation calculations
- Carry out and document SOX control procedures related to new leases and lease modifications ensuring compliance with Lazard’s policies, procedures, and standards
- Creating and communicating proper coding requirements for the GRECS P&L to global controllers
You'll need to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
- Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and pride in ownership
- Advanced excel and analytical abilities
- Flexibility to travel when required
- Ability to prepare and deliver compelling data-driven presentations
- Experience with/knowledge of SAP, AFO, Esker
What We Offer:
We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $160,000-190,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
