Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, and 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. What You’ll Do:
The Executive Director, Human Resources Business Partner aligns HR strategies with the goals of the organization. The HRBP combines experience in all core areas of HR with strong business acumen to understand Hightower’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competitive landscape. By partnering with HR and the organization, you will deliver value-added services that enhance both the employee experience and the overall performance of Hightower. This position will report directly to the CHRO.
- Strategic Business Alignment: Utilizes data and analytics to drive strategic initiatives of the business. Aligns HR initiatives with the overall business strategy to support organizational growth and success, and measures progress against goals.
- Change Management: Leads organizational change projects in collaboration with other HR leaders, ensuring successful transition and adoption through communication and planning.
- Consultation: Be a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, offering guidance on best practices. Partner with HR Operations and Talent teams to maintain firmwide consistency when consulting across the HR department.
- Employee Relations: Facilitates a positive relationship between management and employees, addressing concerns, conflicts, and issues. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct objective investigations.
- Leadership: Leads, mentors, and supports a team of Human Resources Business Partners, ensuring they are equipped to deliver strategic HR support to departments in corporate and in the field.
- Talent and Organizational Development: Partners with leadership and the Talent team to develop strategies to address talent needs. Identifies areas where the organization can increase efficiency and effectiveness, and help to lead changes initiatives to help the organization adapt to new process or structures.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including a leadership role overseeing HR teams or partners.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, talent development, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A Master’s degree, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred.
- Lead a team, with experience driving organizational change and developing high-performing teams.
- Understanding of business strategy, with the ability to align HR projects with organizational goals.
- Ability to influence and partner with senior leadership.
- Ability to acquire an understanding of our hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Base salary of $180,000-$210,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
