Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:
Fund Operations Analyst
Every day, we seek to improve financial security for people. Joining our Fund Operations team means you will be a part of a passionate and supportive team that believes what we do matters to our clients and investors. You will be primarily responsible for the coordination of operational functions of the US fund complexes, including client service support to internal business units, coordination with external vendors and preparation of Board and regulatory materials. You will also serve as a contact for various daily operational functions including product/account communications and financial reporting tasks.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Fund Operations:
- Serve as resource for Investment Division, Product, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other internal business units for questions and issues that arise. Coordinate with external vendors as required.
- Assist with the coordination, preparation, and review of the financial statements. This involves coordination with Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance and the external auditors.
- Manage Fund Operations tasks for product initiatives such as new fund launches, mergers, closures, and fund strategy changes. Coordinate with business units on the impact of such initiatives.
- Provide client service support for AIS, USI, Legal, Compliance and the Investment Division.
- Assist with custodial issues as required.
- Assist with other operational and Fund Administration tasks as required.
Regulatory Reporting:
- Review regulatory filings, including annual prospectus/SAI updates, annual and semi-annual financial statements, and quarterly financial reports.
- Assist in the management and development and/or review of all required regulatory documents across Investment Division and coordinate with other Russell business units.
Board Reporting:
- Support Board and subcommittee process including the creation and/or review all required materials across multiple business units (Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, and Operations).
- Prepare and review components of the Investment Division and Fund Administration quarterly and annual contract review (15(c) meeting fund Board reporting.
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree required;1-2 years of professional experience for Fund Operations Analyst.
- Work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision; ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Project management experience; strong organization skills.
- Efficiency with Microsoft Office products and overall aptitude for utilizing technology to assist with business processing.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and facility with numbers
- Ability to work collaboratively with associates at all levels and across multiple business units.
- Excellent client service skills; superior written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a highly functioning team.
- Demonstrated ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
- Solves and analyzes problems effectively, with a process for decision making.
- Evaluates problems via systems thinking, sees downstream affects, identifies future implications across a process to help prioritize solutions.
