The Role
Apollo is seeking an Associate to join the Asset Backed Finance team to focus on financing opportunities for the global Apollo platform. The successful candidate will work on both existing and new financings for a variety of different funds and asset types. The ABF financing team handles fund and portfolio financing for Credit, Equity & Hybrid, Sustainability & Infrastructure, S3, Apollo Capital Solutions, AAA and many of the origination platforms. Responsibilities will include facility structuring and negotiations, modeling, quantitative financial analysis, margin tracking and monitoring. The successful candidate will also work on fund finance and NAV lending investment opportunities. This individual will be a core member of the team and will have the opportunity to work across the Apollo platform and have meaningful exposure to the street.
Provide analytical and project support for all financing activity for Apollo’s asset management platform. Financing types include direct lending facilities, CLO warehouses, total return swaps, NAV facilities, repo transactions, single name trades, loan on loan financings, middle market loan facilities, etc.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop meaningful relationships with lenders
- Take lead role in evaluating, negotiating new financing opportunities and investment committee materials
- Take a lead role in modeling and monitoring performance on levered trades
- Support our fund finance investment activities. Analyze, diligence, negotiate and execute lending opportunities for various Apollo accounts and funds
- Work with both internal and external legal, finance and operation professionals to set up and maintain facilities
- Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and requests including but not limited to portfolio monitoring, reporting, investor requests and presentations
Qualifications & Experience
- Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in fixed income related roles, banking, sales & trading, consulting/advisory including significant time on a bank financing desk.
- Track record of experience on loan financing, capital markets or warehouse financing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must. Strong written and verbal communication skills also required.
- Nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Collaborative and able to effectively communicate within lean global teams, as well as able to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree required with a degree in finance, economics, math and/or engineering preferred
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Intex and/or programming is preferred but not required.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
