JOB DESCRTIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distressed Debt and PIK Servicing Specialist to join our team. This role involves servicing distressed debt and Payment-In-Kind (PIK) deals, monitoring potential PIK transactions, and working closely with multiple teams to manage calculations, servicing-related tasks, and legal document requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in attending Watchlist calls, providing critical insights, and assisting in resolving issues related to distressed debt and PIK investments
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex deals ensuring accurate and timely servicing of these deals.
- Prepare manual calculations, statements, and notices related to your assigned portfolio\list of accounts.
- Clear outstanding cash and open receivable, payables and other related items in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with WSO/LIQ and the Finance team to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure smooth servicing operations.
- Assist the Funding and Settlement Team with legal document language related to servicing, ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Recommend solutions and changes to internal SOP’s, as needed.
- Assist in projects and identification of issues areas for process improvements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and pivot priorities when changes occur
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar work experience
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in related financial services roles.
- Strong understanding of loan operations functions.
- Proficiency in financial calculations, spreadsheets, and related software (e.g., WSO, LIQ and Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tasks and ensure accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to team success.

- Must be willing to work from the Chicago office and travel as necessary.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is comprised of several components, including but not limited to applicant's skill, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and the location of the position.
This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).

Salary Range
$90,000 - $105,000
