The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for the assisting the General Counsel & Chief Ethics Officer (General Counsel) in providing in-house legal services to the State Board of Administration (SBA).
Duties include:
- Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts for the SBA
- Providing legal support and performing legal research to advance the legal function of the SBA
- Reviewing and providing advice on legislation and regulations affecting the SBA and SBA policies
- Providing oversight and support for public records requests
Qualifications:
Five years of related experience. Admission to the Florida Bar as a member in good standing. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience; 2 years for an associate's degree, 4 years for a bachelor's degree, 6 years for a master's degree, 7 years for a professional degree, or 9 years for a doctoral degree.
Preferences:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited college or university
