Overview
L&G Asset Management’s Onboarding team is responsible for the successful implementation of new accounts and change events. This role will onboard funds and institutional separately managed accounts with internal systems and work closely with other investment and operational teams across L&G globally to ensure setup quality and readiness for the launch date. The Onboarding Analyst will also support the Client and Product Implementation teams.
Responsibilities
The Onboarding Analyst will create new funds/accounts and amendments within internal systems. In addition, this individual will be creating new custodians and clearers’ memo accounts within internal systems. We are seeking a candidate who is highly motivated, innovative and strives for the highest level of service for our clients and portfolio management team. Organization and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
- Setup of new funds and accounts within internal systems
- Amendment of existing funds and accounts within internal systems
- Work with the Implementation, Product, Account Management, Front Office, Analytics and Data Management teams to ensure all required data has been provided to conduct the internal setup
- Work closely with global teams in London regarding the internal fund setup processes and the custodian and clearer memos creation within the internal systems
- Work closely with London teams to provide follow-the-sun coverage
- Work closely with external/3rd parties to conduct the setup of new funds, accounts and counterparties
- Create efficient agile operations in compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements. Ensure that processes and procedures remain up to date to reflect current practices.
- Interaction with Investment Professionals to understand their systems’ needs
- Work closely with Index Data and Analytics teams regarding new benchmarks/strategies and performance returns for the equity and fixed income portfolios
- Participate in all internal client onboarding meetings
- Participation in ad hoc project assignments specific to fund/account setup
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 1-3 years work experience within a financial institution
- Understanding of aspects of Investment Management particularly how fund data is used in the investment process and the role of trading counterparties
- Understanding of fund types and structure
- Experience in data management
- Understanding of equity, fixed income and exchange traded/OTC derivative products
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized and structured approach
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Able to prioritize workload and deal with tight deadlines
- Expertise with Excel/MS Office and exposure to third party applications (i.e. Markit EDM, Salesforce, Bloomberg)
Salary Range
$52,000-$71,000
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
