Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Chief of Staff to support the Head of Global Real Estate. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business by managing key initiatives, preparing materials for senior-level engagements, and driving alignment across the leadership team. We are looking for someone who is not only highly qualified and effective but also deeply invested in the success of the team and the broader organization. This role includes frequent interaction with senior-level leadership across the Real Estate business and broader firm and requires close collaboration with many teams across the organization to ensure seamless coordination across all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement Strategy
- Collaborate with client teams to develop a strategic external engagement plan, ensuring time is thoughtfully allocated to align with business priorities and key points in the fundraising calendar
- Work with EA to plan travel schedule with a focus on optimizing time in both internal and client meetings
- Track and analyze engagements and make recommendations to enhance effectiveness around time allocation
- Internal Engagement Strategy
- Plan and execute internal engagement strategy by meeting with teams in both large scale (training programs, orientations, etc.) and small group (roundtables, lunches, 1:1 meetings) settings
- Meeting and Presentation Preparation:
- Organize and lead preparation for key presentations, including external conferences, board meetings, client meetings, and internal speaking engagements
- Draft presentations, talking points, and communications, and coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Institutional Client Solutions, Shareholder Relations, marketing) and external organizations
- Oversee and manage key leadership meetings, including by collecting agenda items, coordinating with presenters, and ensuring materials are prepared in advance
- Manage and track key deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders stay accountable
- Communications
- Partner with internal media and communications teams to manage logistics and calendar of external communications with key clients and operating partners
- Develop internal communications, such as recognition emails, organizational announcements, and updates following trips or key milestones
- Coordinate and execute comprehensive communication plans for organizational announcements or initiatives
- Oversee and manage social media strategy including drafting posts and tracking engagement across platforms
- Ensure timely and accurate flow of information across the Real Estate Group
- Cultural Initiatives
- Support the implementation of workplace initiatives, such as leadership speaker series, recognition programs, and team-building events (e.g., outings, dinners)
- Collaborate with senior-level leadership to identify and execute opportunities to enhance team culture and engagement
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Experience and Expertise:
- 8+ years of relevant experience within real estate, private equity, or a related industry.
- Proven skills managing complex projects, prioritizing effectively, and delivering results in a dynamic environment
- Communication and Writing Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; effectively drafts clear, concise, and professional correspondence and presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills; engages effectively with senior-level leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Organizational and Strategic Thinking:
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail; effectively manages multiple priorities simultaneously
- A proactive thinker who anticipates needs, identifies opportunities, and operates effectively in ambiguous or "gray" areas
- Emotional Intelligence and Collaboration:
- High emotional intelligence (EQ); builds trust, fosters productive business relationships, and navigates sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and works seamlessly across functions and geographies
- Other Skills:
- Comfortable working with limited direction at times and exercising strong judgment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with communication tools and platforms
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred but not required

Expected annual base salary range:
$225,000 - $250,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
