Position Summary
The Assistant, Creative is an entry-level administrative design role that works under the direction of the Senior Creative Manager to format and edit various branded marketing materials, as well as schedule photography, liaise with external print vendors, and process invoices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinating with internal and external printers (e.g. branded gifting inventory, etc.)
- Scheduling, coordinating, retouching, and uploading of firm photography initiatives (e.g. bio photos, office photos, group photos, etc.)
- Formatting and editing firm-branded marketing and communications collateral (e.g. ads, invites, flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc.)
- Collaborating with various internal and external clients including team members, lawyers, business services professionals, and third-party vendors.
- Process invoices
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Excellent understanding of brand and design principles.
- Excellent client services, communication and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, being able to take initiative, work independently, multi-task, and prioritize projects and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail to ensure work is error-free and of the highest quality under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player, supporting others on the Creative team as needed.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
- Practical knowledge of setting up press files for digital and offset print production.
- Required electronic portfolio or website link with application.
Education And/or Experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience on an in-house or corporate graphics support team (professional or financial services preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 - $70,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
