The Lead Business Data architect is responsible for developing and maintaining complex data models for business data analysis and reporting purposes. Work closely with our data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models. Deliver business data products and ensure finance business priorities are achieved. Also responsible for standing up and executing data operations team for the finance data platform ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency data provisioned. Maintain documentation and metadata of our data models.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities:
Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Expert in data architecture and in creating complex data models
Understand business products and create data solutions for reporting and analytical use cases
Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs across Finance
Actively participate in driving strategy on data platform and data products
Facilitating project meetings and presentations to a diverse audience
Document and communicate data model designs and standards to ensure understanding and compliance across the organization
Translate requirements of large data initiatives into technical designs
Support implementation of data solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs and carrying out necessary processes and practices
Identify and resolve performance issues to optimize database performance and enhance overall system functionality
Monitor and support data platform. Recognize and implement improvement opportunities
Adapt to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
Stay current with customer needs and strategies, utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate progress updates and findings
Preferred Background & Skills:
Strong understanding on data architecture and implementation.
Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.
Ability to create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processing using Snowflake, AWS S3, AWF Glue or similar technologies.
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of database queries
Knowledge of industry best practices for data modeling and database design
Experience working on medium scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
Ability to foster strong relationships
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Over 10 years of relevant experience.
Salary range $160,000.00 -$180,000.00. Bonus Eligible.
