About This Role
What team will you be on?
You will be a key member of the Information Security Cyber Diligence team and will play an integral part in the development, implementation, and compliance of technical security across the enterprise. The candidate will regularly act as a voice of Information Security to business teams and management, building cyber security confidence in support of business development and governance processes.

Your role is crucial because it directly influences the security of BlackRock’s technology and information systems. By performing focused security risk assessments and providing consultative advice, you help mitigate potential threats and enhance our overall cyber security posture.
What will you be doing?
- Perform focused risks assessments of existing or new services and technologies
- Conduct governance reviews of requests for exceptions to the Information Security policy
- Influence the overall direction for securing infrastructure, applications, and third parties
- Communicate risk assessment findings to business partners
- Provide consultative advice to enable informed risk management decisions
- Identify appropriate controls to manage information risks
- Develop solutions for remediating or mitigating risks and assess the residual risk
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of Information Security experience, including risk advisory, communication with senior management, project management, written analysis for Information Security risk assessment, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and assessing controls within Technology and/or Financial Services firms
- Expertise with information security management frameworks such as IS027001, COBIT, and NIST 800
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Strong decision-making capabilities and ability to react to high-pressure, dynamic environments effectively
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical issues to diverse audiences and influencing others effectively with innovative and original thinking
- Strong analytical skills using modern tools such as Python, Excel or similar.
For Seattle only the salary range for this position is $142,500 - $196,500.0. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
