As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee the financial operations for development properties across various sectors. You should be well-versed in current accounting principles and practices, especially in the development and construction fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate and manage multiple accounting teams.
- Handle construction, development, and joint venture accounting for different asset types.
- Assess and improve the organization's financial performance.
- Build credibility for the accounting team by providing timely and accurate financial reports and budget assessments.
- Develop and enforce policies to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Establish a reputation as a solution-oriented professional.
- Offer technical financial advice within the organization.
- Create reliable cash flow forecasts with a focus on meeting operational needs.
- Provide financial insights on company contracts.
- Evaluate the finance division's structure for ongoing improvement.
- Support team members' professional growth and development.
What you should bring
- Strong knowledge of Yardi and Yardi Construction Manager preferred.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts to various audiences.
- Up-to-date understanding of accounting processes.
- Experience in preparing financial statements.
- Ability to interpret a strategic vision into an operational model.
- Ability to successfully partner with IT staff to manage critical financial management systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization.
