Purpose: The GTB Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting the US Treasury Management Office (TMO) of Directors and Associate Directors in GTB Sales from the Global Banking and Markets ('GBM') group from New York and Houston.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborates with the GTB Sales team throughout the sales process for pipeline updates, prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, new pricing proposals, relationship review and/or Global Account Plans, assist with the implementations of products/ services for new and/or existing clients, and creation of presentations/pitchbooks.
- Attends sales, relationship reviews and implementation meetings as requested.
- Communicates with clients and / or prospects as needed to clarify sales requests, referrals, or setup questions.
- Help manage a disciplined pipeline and calling activities (call reports) via the Banks CRM (Salesforce).
- Leverage the Bank’s Americas footprint to connect our primary customers both at the parent and subsidiary level in our core markets, in collaboration with GTB colleagues in each market.
- Ensure escalated client service issues are effectively managed with the right resources in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with various Banking partners from Treasury, Trade, FX, Risk, Compliance and others to develop client solutions and drive portfolio growth.
- Maintain a market profile within the assigned industry sector(s) and stay up to date on market trends across GTB especially in various verticals i.e., Healthcare, Technology, Media and Telecom.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
What You'll Bring:
- Three or more years of sales and/or client service experience in a financial services environment; preferred candidates will have Treasury experience.
- Prior experience working within or covering the assigned industry is an advantage i.e., Technology, Media, Telecom, Healthcare.
- Strong drive and ability to take ownership and ambition to be an individual contributor GTB salesperson as a next step.
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.
- Detail oriented, strong time management skills, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and develop solutions.
- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with colleagues, peers, and management.
- Excellent MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) experience
- Proficient in Salesforce or alternative CRM system.
- Prudent risk and control judgement. Demonstrates strong commercial judgement.
- Strategic mindset and effective communication skills to drive growth and revenue.
- University degree, preferably post-graduate and/or relevant professional designation.
- Spanish language is an advantage but not required.
