Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the creation, analysis, verification, and distribution of global institutional client reporting and marketing materials. In addition to daily report production, this role includes Business Analyst responsibilities, such as analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure high-quality reports and marketing content. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Reporting:
- Service the reporting needs of the firm’s institutional client account base, including working with US and global offices to address specific requests of external clients.
- Support all aspects of creation, analysis, verification, and timely delivery of global institutional client reporting and firm’s marketing materials.
- Research, analyze, and ensure data integrity for all standardized and custom reporting and escalate to senior management as needed.
- Assist in reviewing incoming documents (e.g., IMA) to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Project and Analysis:
- Provide technical guidance for the team and IT to enhance workflow and tools for exiting and onboarding reporting needs.
- Build and maintain reporting templates Collaborate on projects for new reporting requirements and workflow development.
- Create solutions for client reporting requests; offer alternatives and determine the best execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Document business requirements for reporting.
- Manage and facilitate ad-hoc requests.
- Develop workflows for client and firm reporting, such as fund factsheets and custom reports.
- Document and enhance processes for onboarding new reports and develop a database of reporting requirements.
- Work with vendor applications to support reporting needs.
- Support internal and external audits related to client reporting.
- Assist in creating and analyzing metrics.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial services.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with data management.
- Successful track record of process automation and building improved quality controls.
Skills Needed:
- Strong hands-on experience with Excel.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, SQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as SQL, Python, SAS, R, JavaScript, .NET, etc.
- Ability to understand and adapt to business needs.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within all levels of an organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Beneficial Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of investment products, mutual fund industry, and financial securities.
- Familiarity with investment management agreements.
- Experience with client reporting applications (e.g., FactSet Vermilion Reporting Solution a major plus).
- Familiarity with AI concepts and basics.
- Demonstrated interest and familiarity with team workflow and collaboration tools and applications, i.e. Azure, Jira, etc.
