Job Description And Duties
Anticipated Interview Dates: This position will run until filled with the following cutoff dates for review: 10/4/2024, 10/21/2024, 11/5/2024, 11/20/2024 and every two weeks until filled. In person interviews for the first cutoff are anticipated to be the week of 10/28/2024 - 11/1/2024.
Telework Information: This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA Headquarters at least three weekdays per week.

The Policy Research & Data Analytics Division (PRDA), Data Analytics and Quantitative Research Unit (DAQR) is currently seeking a Research Data Specialist II (RDS II). PRDA provides policy, data, and process improvement insights to inform retirement-related issues and business decisions. PRDA employs research data techniques to assess the impact of potential retirement policy changes and sustainability of benefits and services, and continuously improve business processes.
Under the general direction of the Research Scientist Supervisor I, Data Analytics and Quantitative Research, the RDS II is responsible for independently designing and leading complex research projects and assignments. The RDS II has extensive knowledge of and experience using a variety of research, analytical, and statistical methods and techniques used in data analysis and to provide comprehensive research. The RDS II manages workload consisting of multiple projects and assignments, completes work under critical timelines to meet project requirements, and exercises a high degree of independence, initiative, flexibility, and tact in performing the duties listed.
