Job Description And Duties
Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Do you thrive working in a positive, dynamic team environment? Do you have experience developing and implementing procedures to gather financial data and analyze and plan budgets, investment expense reports, projections, and forecasts?
Under the direction of the Investment Services (IS) Associate Investment Manager (AIM), the Investment Officer III (IO III) will perform the advanced working and lead level Investment work and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the acquisition, management, and analysis of market data to support investment decision-making within INVO. The IO III will maintain a positive and collaborative team approach while demonstrating CalPERS’ Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Onsite and virtually, responsible for Market Data management which includes oversight of the acquisition, procurement, integration, and maintenance of market data from various vendors, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Manage relationships with market data vendors, negotiate contracts and service levels to optimize costs and service delivery.
- Develop and administer the Market Data vendor management program which includes data analysis and reporting, market research and surveillance, stakeholder communications, project management, and regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Use task management tools (e.g., Asana / Optimize Spend / Power Business Intelligence (BI)) to triage and track all investment market data requests and activities for IS and perform duties as assigned in tool by IS management.
Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
