Your opportunity
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the team of professionals responsible for operational management of client, product, AUM & flow data, as well as any other data types brought into the team in future.
- Create and implement a vision for the department through the development of an operating plan (updated at least annually) that covers day-to-day and project-related work
- Initiate and, with input from relevant business stakeholders, prioritize change initiatives designed to address data limitations and enable new business capabilities.
- Align the organization structure in line with day-to-day and project-related requirements, ensure that all team members have clear roles and responsibilities, and establish efficient and effective operating processes.
- Provide assistance and input to firm-level, COO, and Enterprise Data projects as required.
- Regularly engage with business partners and key stakeholders to understand needs. address gaps and enable new capabilities.
- Provide oversight of key vendors, in partnership with the Technology organization where appropriate, to ensure services meet business requirements.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of all systems supported by department and how they interrelate to other processing systems, databases, and reporting and analytics tools
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures.
- Promote a culture of accountability and risk mitigation within the department.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, assess training needs and assist in the development of the team.
- Periodically analyze departmental processes and procedures and implement improvements in an effort to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Exhibit strong understanding of financial products, the distribution process and data related to sales activities, assets and flows.
- Directly manage staff: plan, allocate, monitor work and make decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, salary adjustments and related personnel actions
- Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and client relationship management skills

Must have skills
- Excellent leadership, management, interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills
- Strong ability to organize, analyze and support distribution-related master data and supporting operations
- An operations orientation that enables the creation of effective and efficient team processes
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Knowledge of all Distribution channels
- Experience with database management tools, such as SQL Alteryx, Snowflake, Data Bricks and PowerBI
- Ability to train, supervise and motivate others
- Ability to work independently and with a team while making decisions within established guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and projects in a dynamic environment
- Aptitude to research and resolve complex problems
- Knowledge of the Asset Management industry

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $150,000- $175,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role to remain posted through November 15, 2024.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
