This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).
OVERVIEW:
The Investment Management Services Associate is a key member of the Investment Management Services (IMS) team at Glenmede. This dedicated group within Platform Solutions supports client service, trading, and investment teams in areas such as trade support, separately managed account (SMA) operations, private investment onboarding, account reconciliation, and banking services. The IMS team leverages process expertise to reduce risk, improve the client experience, and enhance Glenmede’s efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires a high-performing individual with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as a continuous improvement mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investor Services for Private Investments. Facilitate the private investment process for clients and Relationship Management Teams by coordinating with stakeholders across Glenmede. Prepare private investment subscription packages using a third-party vendor, facilitate client review and execution of subscription documents, track and resolve KYC refreshes, and manage investor action items throughout the private investment lifecycle.
- SMA Operations. Coordinate daily operations for Glenmede's separately managed accounts program. Collaborate with investment and relationship management teams to facilitate client portfolio investments in SMA strategies and onboard new external strategies. Perform control tasks to ensure all workflows are completed accurately and as expected.
- Reconciliation. Perform daily position and cash reconciliation of externally custodied accounts. Work closely with investment teams and external parties to troubleshoot discrepancies and ensure accurate data across investment systems. Complete month-end reconciliations of externally custodied accounts to ensure accurate performance reporting and client statements.
- Trade Support. Contribute to trade support functions, including trade matching and settlement for Fixed Income and Equity orders. Serve as a liaison between trading teams, back-office operations, brokers, and custodians. Communicate with front office teams to address issues and proactively solve problems.
- Banking Services. Serve as the centralized point of contact for administration of securities-based lines of credit. Work internally and with third parties to ensure collateral control agreement obligations are implemented.
- Firm Building. Engage in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives to complete corporate initiatives, projects, and business analysis supporting Glenmede’s strategic goals. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office and business capabilities. Perform other duties as required by position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of internship, co-op, and/or working experience in financial services supporting middle office, investor services, or related roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a financial services role in any of the following areas:
- Supporting middle office workflows such as trade support, fund reconciliation, alternatives investment administration
- Private investment subscriptions and AML/KYC oversight
- Coordination and operational oversight of separately managed accounts
- Proficient in investment systems supporting equity trading, separately managed accounts (SMAs), as well as position and cash reconciliation
- Experience using DocuSign, Subscribe, Monday.com and other workflow management tools
- Ability to appropriately organize and prioritize tasks, coordinate with other members of the team, work well under pressure, and multi-task
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
- Demonstrated aptitude for continual process improvement
- Interest in obtaining or pursuing an advanced degree or certification such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or MBA
