Your Future Team
The Manager of the Enterprise Data Governance and Quality Team will oversee the day-to-day operations of Hightower’s system of record data-related processes. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of investment data, data governance, data quality analysis, and operations and process management skills. Leadership, communication and collaboration skills are critical as this role, which works across many business and technology teams to ensure data operations. As Manager, you will manage a team accountable to support how our organization collects, processes, analyzes, governs, and utilizes data to drive informed decision-making and achieve our business objectives.
What You’ll Do - Leadership
- Lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance and growth opportunities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, risk, compliance, investment professionals, marketing, and operations, to ensure data management needs are understood and achieved
- Serve as a partner to business and technology leaders to ensure data risk is management effectively and mitigate issues
- Support the evolution of data control, quality, trustworthiness, and compliance of the firm’s data assets
- Data Governance
- Drive the development of the HT Business Glossary leading process development and content curation, facilitating data steward community and governing metadata acquisition.
- Assure compliance with data related policies and procedures to ensure books and records data meets industry-specific guidelines
- Direct development of data quality and governance related metrics to measurement effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement
- Present metrics reports and insights to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders to drive business decisions related to system of records data
- Facilitate data related incident management process and communication
- Support the firm’s system of record data catalogue
- Data Operations
- Responsible for daily operations of centralized, consolidated master data management systems and data repositories (e.g., Regulatory System of Records, Security Master, etc.)
- Drive the identification and support remediation of data validation on critical system of record data.
- Identify and champion of process improvements to enable efficiencies and effectiveness of services to internal consumers
- Understand end-to-end data flow, production and usage across the firm
- Manage system of record data exceptions and engage respective business owner for resolution.
- Technology partnership
- Work closely with data warehouse team to ensure health and efficient data integration across various systems and platforms
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to optimize data-related tools and services
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 7 - 8+ years of experience in data management, including roles of increasing responsibility and leadership
- Deep experience utilizing Collibra Data Intelligence Platform and Data Quality tool.
- Extensive investment or wealth management industry experience
- In-depth understanding of investment data and industry-leading data management practices
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data architecture, data analytics, and data security practices
- Demonstrated experience with data-related compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in data management tools, databases, and relevant technologies
- Demonstrated experience building high performing teams and establishing new functions

- Base salary of $110,000-$130,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
