Your Future Team
The Director of Technology Integrations, reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Software Engineering, owns Hightower's integration architecture across multiple enterprise systems, including CRM, CLM, and proprietary platforms. You'll design and implement modern integration patterns; APIs, event streaming, and microservices, ensuring real-time data flow for critical business operations. Leading a team while staying hands-on with solution architecture, you'll establish API standards, implement event-driven architectures, and orchestrate seamless workflows across Product, Operations, and Data Engineering teams. As the technical authority for vendor integrations, you'll build a scalable, observable integration platform on AWS that delivers reliable, performant data synchronization across our technology ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Build and mentor a high-performing integration team, fostering technical excellence while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex integration challenges and architectural decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders and product managers to map end-to-end processes, identifying integration points that unlock operational efficiency and enable new product capabilities.
- Implement monitoring and observability frameworks with the Infrastructure Engineering and IT Operations team to proactively identify integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure SLA compliance across all connected systems.
- Lead technical discovery and proof-of-concept initiatives for new platforms and tools, evaluating build-vs-buy decisions and recommending integration strategies that balance speed with sustainability.
- Accountable for the future integration roadmap, prioritization, and execution—coordinating releases across multiple teams while minimizing business disruption and maintaining system stability.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in system integration and enterprise architecture with expertise in API design, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns on the AWS cloud platform.
- Deep expertise in modern integration technologies, including event streaming platforms, API-as-a-product strategies, real-time data interoperability, low-code integration pipelines, and AI-driven integration automation.
- Experience in wealth management, financial services, or fintech organizations with an understanding of financial data flows, regulatory requirements, and industry-standard platforms.
- Proven leadership and exceptional communication skills, extensive experience managing technical teams and translating complex integration concepts for both technical and business stakeholders.
