Position Overview
Apollo Global Management is seeking to hire an experienced professional to expand and enhance its Content Marketing program.
Reporting to Apollo’s Global Head of Content Strategy, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing content from start to finish, ensuring voice consistency, as well as relevance of topics, positioning, and assiduity of publications. Content creation will focus primarily on thought leadership/educational pieces and include select collateral production.
In partnership with Portfolio Managers, Investment Officers, Product-Specialists, and Distribution professionals, the successful candidate will seek to unearth and communicate the firm’s best investment ideas and strategies to help our clients/prospects thrive, spanning across institutional and wealth distribution channels.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing content distribution across Apollo’s organic channels as well as working collaboratively with channel and product marketing teams to ensure maximum impact.
Responsibilities:
Write materials and manage content production from start to finish, providing end-to-end guidance in the production process across many media (i.e., white papers, articles, videos, podcasts, social, among others).
In line with the firm’s content strategy, liaise with senior sales, client-service, and investment professionals to assess client/prospect needs, understand the firm’s strategic and competitive advantages, and create compelling marketing content that expresses these advantages to largest reach and impact.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the firm’s products and strategies; stay abreast of new product developments and competitive strengths.
Understand and uphold high editorial standards and guidelines to express Apollo’s voice with authority and consistency with the brand.
Working together with the Marketing Campaign Managers, ensure proper distribution of materials, develop triage and tracking responsibilities, and help develop monthly and quarterly metrics reports.
Qualifications & Experience
10-plus years of asset-management marketing writing experience with demonstrable skills in content creation, project management, product mastery and positioning, and relationship management; previous journalistic experience a plus.
College degree a must; graduate degree preferred.
In-depth knowledge of investment-management industry, products and services, ideally across multiple distribution channels. Strong passion for Alternatives a must.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; must have high tolerance for ambiguity.
Ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships with senior investment and distribution professionals; good interpersonal skills; goal oriented.
Outstanding skills in organization, prioritization, and time management.
Constant willingness to sweat the details.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Pay Range
$175k - $225k
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
