The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking a Vice President to join its Product Solutions group. The Product Solutions group is at the nexus of business development, investment and corporate solutions. The team leads the efforts to launch new products and custom solutions for large clients and reduces friction in the sales process. This individual will also assist with structuring bespoke solutions for some of the most prominent institutional investors in the world and with new product creation, project management and content creation. The ideal candidate is collaborative, technically minded and detail-oriented with an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of Blue Owl’s business and grow alongside an innovative, rapidly expanding platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of our product suite, their features, functionalities, and benefits. Stay up to date with industry trends, market changes, and key positioning/deal themes at the portfolio level.
- Support fundraising channels by disseminating timely information and data regarding our offerings, presenting relevant fund updates and insights, and answering questions pertaining to broader market dynamics
- Monitor competitive landscape by continuous analysis of our competitors and draft competitive positioning points for sales team
- Serve as a client-facing subject matter expert (SME) to expand fund adoption
- Partner with Institutional Business Development team to develop and execute region-specific sales and educational content, including market commentary, product positioning, competitive landscape, and case studies
- Lead bespoke account structuring processes by working closely with the broader Institutional Business Development team, Legal, Finance, Accounting and Operations, as well as external stakeholders, including strategic institutional clients and external legal counsels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
- Proficiency in VBA and/or Python preferred
- 4-7 years of experience in financial services required (leveraged finance, private equity, real estate, alternative asset management, investment banking, capital markets, and/or consulting experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and collaborative team-oriented disposition
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to grasp and distill complex concepts
- Self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required
- Excellent attention to detail with high standard for precision
- Resourceful, solutions-oriented problem-solver
- High degree of discretion with the ability to handle proprietary and/or sensitive information regularly and with integrity
- Extremely professional with the ability to interact with senior leaders on a regular basis
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $150,000 - $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
