SUMMARY
Work closely with the Head of IT and Deputy Head of IT to provide management control and support across all domains of Information Technology, including but not limited to Application Development, Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, Strategy, Planning, Project & Program Management, Analysis, Resource Management, Vendor Management, and Business & Financial Matters.
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION
Manage staff in a direct or matrix environment, as assigned by the Head of IT and/or the Deputy Head of IT.
JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Work directly with the Head of IT, the Deputy Head of IT and other managers to provide enhanced management control across all areas of IT.
2.Partner with IT managers, business managers, and the IT Architecture group to drive select strategic plans, for example, Data Strategy, as well as analysis and potential adoption of emerging technologies at the Bank.
3.Provide general IT management across a broad set of IT domains as assigned; at times, stepping in to provide additional management oversight for other teams’ projects and run-the-bank activities, particularly throughout our multi-year transformation.
4.Assist in Portfolio planning and development including prioritization, sequencing, feasibility, and risk assessment, across multiple resource pools, multiple functions, and applications.
5.Assist in project planning and execution oversight of assigned activities across all IT areas.
6.Lead IT-wide Continuous Improvement planning and program management.
7.Materially participate with IT leadership in IT Architecture decisions and to develop and execute the IT Strategy
8.Perform various related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
·Strong understanding across core technology domains in the financial services industry.
·Extensive Hands-on experience managing Development and Support of mission-critical, distributed financial services technology applications and staff (preferably Custody and/or Securities Lending Technology)
·A demonstrated capability in integrating Vendor solutions and Technology products with home-grown solutions. Strong Vendor Management skills.
·Architectural mindset with broad understanding across multiple technology stack environments and domains like Infrastructure, Cloud, Data Governance and emerging technologies.
·Deep understanding of core IT management and control topics, including: SDLC, Project and Resource Management, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Information Security, Risk Management, and Audit.Experience working with regulatory examiners is preferred.
·Experience in developing and executing strategic IT roadmaps and transformative projects.
·Very strong analytical skills, business acumen, leadership and communications skills.
