Job Description
The Head & MD, Payments Client Solutions in TD Securities will lead the Client Solutions, Business Planning, and Industry Relations Management for TDS Payments. This role will serve as the lead for working with the TDS businesses, enterprise partners, and various Financial Market Infrastructures to identify and plan for the development of client payment solutions and payment standards across TDS globally.
The incumbent requires a deep understanding of payment operations and processing in a multinational financial institution. In this role, they will support our business partners by providing insights on industry standards and technology shaping the payments landscape as well as assessing and addressing client payment needs and pain points across the TDS global footprint.

Depth & Scope
- Leads the strategic and tactical direction of the New York Operations team, ensuring alignment with the Global Operations strategy and mandate
- Ensuring that the day-to-day operational functions located in New York are running effectively and efficiently; this includes functions related primarily to Rates, Fixed Income, Funding, Cross Asset Trading and USBBS for the New York office
- Works in conjunction with New York based Front Office staff and functional Operations Department Heads in Toronto/London/Singapore (as required) to ensure that issues and concerns in the New York office are resolved in an expedient manner
- Acts as a local representative for Global Operations, ensuring a timely response to questions and concerns; engages in a variety of initiatives and discussions as required and when required, acts as a member of local executive management committees representing Global Operations
- Develops an expense budget consistent with the team's goals set out in the Global Operations business plan
- Engages with local regulators and internal/external auditors as local representative of Global Operations
- Works effectively with other areas of TD Securities maintaining an optimum level of operations standards
- Continuously reviews the organization to ensure it is achieving the business needs including organization structure, job specifications, skills development, career development and leadership development
- Develops and maintains sound knowledge of specific industries and keeps abreast of market and competitive forces in the United States and internationally
- Manages multiple processes and functions across an identified range of products and services
- Responsible for operating within documented risk parameters and ensuring exception/escalation processes are in place ensuring that risk parameters remain appropriate through periodic review and forward looking risk assessments
- Develops and maintains necessary functional expertise to deliver expected level of service
- Ensures knowledge transfer within TD Securities TDBFG
- Acts as a TDS representative in any relevant external and internal activities
- Acts as change leader for activities affecting the business I unit
- Promotes a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourages the team to achieve common goals and objectives
- Creates a positive work environment that inspires the will to win, promotes customer service, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensures timely communication of issues/ points of interest
- Developing long-term strategy for teams and action plan

Experience
- Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
- 7+ years related experience
