Principal Responsibilities
The Business Unit Control team is responsible for observing and analyzing P & L, risk, pricing processes and financing. This role will be primarily responsible for medium- and long-term projects related to Financing, P & L and NAV reporting within the Product Control team.
- Management and build out of new, strategic Product Control and Financing platforms.
- Ownership of all project management, including outlining policy, writing business and technical specifications, and testing/validation for new and iterative implementation.
- Responsible for gathering requirements and detailing system specifications.
- Partner across departments, specifically BA and development teams, to implement and build out system.
- Organize and ensure proper testing within and across teams.
- Utilize deep data analytics skills to ensure accuracy of specs, implementation, and testing.
- Manage multiple short, medium, and long-term projects related to Financing, P & L, currency exposure, and NAV reporting in tandem.
- Ensure proper transition and deployment of projects and systems.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- 10+ years of experience
- Treasury/Prime/Product Control background.
- Product or project management experience required.
- Knowledge of equity financing, including debit financing, sec lending, margin, etc.
- Knowledge of fixed income financing – collateral, repo, etc. a plus
- Strong data analytics skills. Very strong excel skills required.
- Experience with T+1 P & L production and senior management reporting
- Experience with P & L controls & reconciliations; General ledger and accounting data a plus
- Automation/process improvement; project skills
- Murex/Geneva/Imagine knowledge a plus
- Outstanding verbal and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals of all levels
- Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package
